Lodge Toryglen No 1561

Fraternal greetings brethren & friends.

On behalf of Myself, Past Masters, Office Bearers and brethren I thank you and offer a warm welcome for visiting our website.

In 1959 a group of like minded Freemasons decided to start a new masonic lodge in the Toryglen area of Glasgow.

Through many years of hard work and determination by these brethren my mother lodge was formed: Lodge Toryglen No 1561.  Since that day in 1959 (6th August), there have been many men worn the regalia of this lodge with pride and professionalism.  These men have guided this lodge through both good and difficult times.  I have been bestowed the honour and privilege of being the Right Worshipful Master of Lodge Toryglen 1561 for the 2018 to 2019 term and would like to thank the brethren for their trust and support.

I thank both my installing masters (PM Bro Douglas Thomson and PM Bro Peter McLean) for their fine and very well received work on the night of our annual installation.  I would also like to congratulate all office bearers and wish them a very successful year in office and to thank them for coming along on this year long journey.  I have no doubt that the master and office bearers of the year 1959 would be as proud of our current brethren and office bearers as I am.

We meet every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from September to May in 5 Melrose Avenue, Rutherglen, Glasgow, G73 4BU tyling at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated.

I look forward to visiting our sister lodges from within and out-with the Province of Glasgow and promote my Mother Lodge and freemasonry in general to the best of my ability.

Finally may I take this opportunity to extend an invitation to all good standing brethren within the craft to join us at any of our regular meetings and I can assure you that you will be warmly received.

Fraternal greetings
Roddy McCartney
